'Decadent Eroticism' - 9th March 2024 Solo show at Space Gallery of contemporary photography - Nizhny, Ural, Russia
"There is an old world beauty and charm to the photographs of Anne Marie Éluard. In the history of photography and literature, one is drawn toward the art of women who are different yet enthralling: HIlda Doolittle, Caresse Crosby, Marchesa Luisa Casati, Lee Miller, The Countess of Castiglione. Individual and distinctive, yet fascinating and beautiful in so many ways.
Anne Marie Éluard is such a woman and artist. Her photography is romantic yet chilling, set in her own private world — much like the world of the character Des Esseintes in the French decadent classic À rebours by J.-K. Huysmans. But while Des Esseintes avoids the outside world to engage with his inner decadent self, Éluard is entranced with the fascinating and gorgeous subjects before her camera on the rooftop of her Valencia home. One feels a mixture of love for her models and a perverse satisfying lust (to my mind quite similar to the older couple living in Venetian debauchery in Ian McEwan’s The Comfort of Strangers), a raw and primeval lust that festers underneath the classiness and charming fashion of Éluard, herself a woman of beauty and distinction.
Please enjoy these works, knowing that Anne Marie Éluard, with the soul of an early 20th-century woman, lives amongst us in our world today, creating art that is clearly not of this world. — John Brian King

Memories, thoughts and surrealism
Like a constellation of metaphorical webs, this collection of images explores the most extreme regions of sensitivity and the unconscious.
A few years ago, surrounded by bucolic and decadent settings, I began to weave together my photographic universe under the pseudonym of Anne Marie Éluard.
Between aesthetic exercises in fantasy and sensitivity flowers, fabrics, paintings and a literary language are combined to transport us to times long gone.
My ancestral home and the objects inside of it become scenarios that repeat over and over again in these photographs.
Using my body, free of any adornment, I expose my most vulnerable self while at the same time channeling a bond with my ancestors and inquiring into the most fragile parts of my subconscious.
The erotic is saturated with innocence and fragility, the light mixed with dark, melancholia with the search for absolute beauty. Through these dualities, I try to reach the eternal in the transitory mundanity of the modern experience
Ode on Melancholy - 17th June / 17th July 2021 - Solo show at Space Gallery of contemporary photography - Nizhny, Ural, Russia
"Ode on a Melancholy" is a collection of images that were taken between last year and the beginning of 2021. Looking to escape the distressing and overwhelming reality of the world at the time, the situation allowed me to isolate and take refuge in myself and create this series of self portraits that, like a symphony of colours, transport you to a bygone eras and far flung places.
The scene is always the same, the different rooms in my house, where I use my body and the elements around me to expose my private world in order to transform it into reflections of the universal.
Fear, passion, madness or solitude are recurrent themes in my photographs, as well as the search for beauty as the absolute ideal.
